Scope of Work
SIOTS was awarded a $2.7M Initial Outfitting contract to provide validation, purchasing, delivery, and installation of medical equipment, warehouse shelving, a vault, and furniture for the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency (USAMMA) Army Prepositioned Stock (APS-5) Warehouse at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Services included drawing revisions, space planning, FF&E validation and coordination, and BVD analysis provided by SIOTS’ interior designer.
The team managed all aspects of the OCONUS warehouse installation, outfitting 2,160 pallet positions of shelving, HAZMAT containers, a secure vault with high-density shelving, a BMET shop, office areas, forklifts, electrical systems, and exterior signage. Up to 25 contract personnel and multiple foreign-national vendors were supervised in a high-security environment. SIOTS also oversaw the AAHP-LS program for the project, achieving zero accidents or injuries.
Commodity services covered procurement, delivery, warehousing, installation, excessing, BMET, and certification for all commodities identified in the IO&T process. These included furniture and furnishings, forklifts, pallet racking, a vault, HAZMAT units, medical equipment, low-voltage systems, and extended installation services such as adding electrical and data connections to the vault and applying line painting to the warehouse floor.
This complex international project required extensive coordination, expertise, and management to successfully deliver full IO services and equipment in support of the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency’s mission readiness.
