Scope of Work

SIOTS provided comprehensive IO&T and IO&C services for the Medical-Dental Clinic addition at Spangdahlem AB, Germany. The 3-story building addition features a large atrium that connects the old and new buildings. 

SIOTS conducted a comprehensive inventory and multiple user meetings to validate FF&E planning, maximize reuse, and minimize unnecessary spending, resulting in over $1.1M savings.  SIOTS conducted a complete review of the equipment and furniture list they were provided to identify discontinued equipment and capture any gaps in the basis of design. 

SIOTS crafted a Comprehensive Interior Design (CID) package, medical equipment plan, and a low voltage systems design to ensure that the final product could functionally and efficiently meet end user needs in the space available.

SIOTS planned multiple systems and extensively coordinated with the German National General Contractor through USACE and DHA to ensure the building utilities and features supported the required FF&E. Our medical equipment planners ensured that all utilities were designed to support the use of new equipment and notified the Government of any deficiencies to allow for correction. We carefully reviewed workflow and function for each space to achieve optimum placement of equipment and furniture within the newly built environment.
