Scope of Work

SIOTS provided comprehensive IOT&A services to the 10th Medical Group as part of the $25M USAFA Dental-Health Clinic addition and renovation project. SIOTS worked on this DBIO contract with Gilbane and Leo A Daly to outfit 2 new clinic wings spanning 61,000 SF.

The USAFA project was delivered in multiple phases and utilized 14,000 SF of temporary medical and pharmaceutical swing space providing continuous patient care throughout construction. This project upgraded aging facility infrastructure, right-sized departments, improved staff efficiencies, and provided new furniture, artwork, and medical equipment throughout the facility.

The USAFA project included a total overhaul of the Surgical Services Department including a complete renovation of all operating rooms and central sterile supply.  Five state-of-the-art OR’s were provided along with an entirely new Oral Surgery Department which supports the 10 MDG Dental Residency Program. Additionally, the project added a second MRI suite to increase patient throughput and reduce waiting times for MRI appointments.
